Isabel Gebhardt
Isabel is a research assistant and PhD student in the Emmy Noether research project “Gender in the Age of Digitalization and Technological Change (GenDiT)”, based at the Assistant Professorship of Computational Social Science and Social Dynamics, Friedrich-Alexander-University Nuremberg.
In her research, Isabel is interested in the causes and sustaining factors of gender inequalities related to work and family, including their individual, interactional and structural determinants.
Isabel studied Psychology at the Universities of Heidelberg (B.Sc.) and Leipzig (M.Sc.), and Gender Studies (M.Phil.) at the University of Cambridge, UK. For her master’s studies in Leipzig and Cambridge, Isabel was awarded a scholarship by the German National Academic Foundation. Before joining Malte’s team in February 2025, Isabel worked as a research assistant on a knowledge transfer initiative at the Socio-economic Panel (SOEP) at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin), where she contributed to improving the accessibility of research data for broader audiences.
